Dockside Inn and Suites – A Coastal Retreat Waiting For You!

Hi Everyone! Welcome back to Your Universal Guide. Today we are going to talk about Dockside Inn and Suites, which is one half of Universal Orlando’s Endless Summer Resort. The other half, Surfside Inn and Suites, was featured in a blog post here last week. Be sure to go check that post out if you haven’t already!

Dockside Inn and Suites is not currently open, but is available to book now for stays beginning in 2021! It is a brand new hotel for Universal Orlando Resort too! Endless Summer Resort (both Surfisde and Dockside sections) are in Universal’s Value category, which is the lowest price point for onsite hotels. However, just because this hotel is in the Value category does not mean that you will have a lack of amenities. Dockside features two pools, a children’s splash pad area, and sand beaches. Poolside activities are also available, such as ping-pong, Connect Four, and more. Be sure to check with the front desk to see specific activities for during your stay. This hotel also features a fitness center, game room, Universal Store, and a Universal Vacation Planning Center.

Dockside Inn and Suites is inspired by the sand and sea, with a coastal vibe throughout. The best part? It’s extra-affordable and comes with all of the benefits of staying at an onsite Universal resort! Onsite benefits at this hotel include early park admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal’s Volcano Bay one hour before park opening, resort-wide charging privileges with your room key, and complimentary merchandise delivery from the theme parks to your hotel. Going back and forth between Dockside and the parks is also very convenient. Shuttle bus service is complimentary and available to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Universal’s Volcano Bay, and CityWalk.

Just like Surfside, Dockside Inn and Suites has two different types of rooms- standard rooms and 2-bedroom suites. Both room types feature a calm and cool feel, as if you are taking a stroll on the beach at sunset. Standard rooms sleep up to 4 people and feature two queen beds, along with separate bath and vanity areas. Comforts include a flat screen TV, mini refrigerator, USB outlets, and free WiFi. 2-bedroom suites are a great option for larger families. These sleep up to 6 people and include amenities such as a kitchenette, picnic table area, and separate bath and vanity areas. The kitchenette in these suites features a microwave and larger mini-fridge. There are three queen beds in this suite- two in one of the bedrooms, and one in the other bedroom. Pool view rooms are available for an additional charge with both standard rooms and 2-bedroom suites.

There are several dining options at Dockside, offering both great food and convenience . Pier 8 Market is a casual food court serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Five different stations are offered here, ensuring that the whole family will be satisfied. Grab and Go items such as sandwiches, wraps, snacks and beverages are available at Pier 8 Market as well. Looking for a fruity beverage while poolside? Look no further than The Oasis Beach Bar, a laid back setting to enjoy a cocktail, beer or smoothie. There also is a Starbucks located in the lobby, which is ideal for grabbing your favorite morning beverage prior to heading out for a day of adventure. The lobby level also features Sunset Lounge, a great place to grab a drink and unwind after a fun day in the parks. Pizza delivery is also available for guests staying at the hotel.
